Researchers from the lab of our Epigenome Cluster Lead, Dr. Carl Wu, have recently published two significant studies. The first, in eLife, explores the dynamic one-dimensional search and processive nucleosome translocations by two key chromatin remodelers, RSC and ISW2. The second study, in Nature Cell Biology, reveals how the disordered C-terminal domain of RNA polymerase II drives its spatiotemporal confinement, enhancing the search for chromatin targets. These findings provide deeper insights into chromatin remodeling and transcription mechanisms, potentially influencing future genetic and epigenetic research.
